Ahhhhh, Gang, I’m so excited: Nordstrom has released dates for the 2022 Anniversary Sale!
I’ll leave our usual fancy visual/timeline below, but Nordstrom Anniversary Sale items will be available for previewas early as June 29th, with Early Access shopping beginning on July 6th (both in stores and online). Just like last year, Icon cardmembers are the first to shop, but this year they only have 24 hours before the next-level of Nordstrom cardholders (the Ambassadors) start shopping. Influencers (all cardholders) come in two days later on July 9th, and public shopping begins on July 15th.
For those of you new to the #NSale, find a full breakdown, including our best tips on how to shop it (and strategize) on our our Nordstrom Anniversary Sale page. We’re still in the process of updating it for 2022, but our tips and tricks are based on 10+ years of covering (and shopping) this sale.
The number one, MOST IMPORTANT thing to understand about the #NSale (and why we all get so passionate about it), is that this particular sale is a Fall pre-sale. Meaning that the items marked down are all new, never-before-seen merchandise from Fall 2022, not leftover pieces that haven’t yet sold. It’s basically our first glimpse at fall trends. V. exciting.
What’s New For Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2022?
Just like last year, there’s a long preview window that allows us to browse through the entire sale online before it’s actually available to shop — similar to the Nordstrom Sale catalog from years’ past. This preview period is easily my favorite new (new-ish?) feature of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I’ve been using these preview periods to make shopping lists, curate capsule wardrobe choices, and really figure out which pieces will best integrate into my closet (here’s an example from last year, where I visually debated the merits of a soft gray coat).
And if you’ve been putting off a closet clean-out? Consider this A SIGN. Cleaning out your closet before the sale is really helpful. Here’s how I clean out my closet (ugh…that article is really old. Clearly I need to update it — but the process is still the same). Another pro-tip is to start thinking now about the pieces you really want to invest in. I often determine this with my cost-per-wear formula.
What Brands Are Worth Shopping At The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?
Last year, Nordstrom released a sneak-peek of brands along with their dates…but this year they’re being a little more tight lipped. That said, they did mention a few old favorites (Zella,Nike,UGG,Vince,Barefoot Dreams,True & Co,AllSaints,Veronica Beard,Charlotte Tilbury), and I spotted one new, very exciting addition: TME team favorite, Farm Rio.
Oh, and Hydro Flask, too.
Personally, I’m hoping for some seriously good beauty finds this year. Necessaire, first purchased during last year’s sale, is now a staple in our house, and Scotti’s LED light mask was an #NSale purchase from two years ago. She had such dramatic results that I bought this one, and I’d love to see either of them included in this year’s sale.
Lastly, I’m hoping that Nordstrom takes our feedback to heart, and continues to bring new, fresh brands into the mix. Personally, I’d love to see Staud and GANNI represented in the Anniversary Sale, as well as some Black-owned businesses like Off-White, Brother Vellies, or bag designer A A K S.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Early Access
For those of you who may be new to this sale,you need a Nordstrom Cardif you want to shop before everyone else. The start date of when you can shop depends on your status level.The higher your status = the earlier you can shop the Anniversary Sale. You canread more about earning Nordstrom card points here.

What To Expect From The Mom Edit Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2022 Coverage
As I mentioned earlier, we plan to takefulladvantage of the preview period. We’re firm believers in going in well-prepared, with shopping lists and capsule wardrobes.
Secondly, we’ll continue doing our dressing room selfies at home— whether we’re covering investment pieces or an affordable little top, we’re big believers in cost-per-wear, and figuring out how a piece (regardless of cost) can fit into existing wardrobes is a really important part of what we do.
